3D GAUSSIAN SPLATTING and NeRFs

What are NeRFs and 3D Gaussian Splatting models?

Both are forms of 3D modelling, with each having their own strengths. NeRFs (neural radiance fields) uses a neural network of 2D images to create a 3D scene, it also allows for pixel generation to fill in blank spaces. Once the scene has been created each keyframed camera position must be rendered individually. It is also very good at reproducing reflective surfaces.
3D Gaussian Splatting (or 3DGS) also creates a 3D scene from 2D images, however once the scene is rendered the camera can be freely moved around with instantaneous rendering. This means it can be viewed on a mobile device or embedded into websites. 
Within each 3D scene, aspects like roll, tilt, panning, focal length and distance from the subject can be changed with the correct background parallax at up to 100 frames per second.

Take total control of your lens' focal length and camera position anywhere in the 3D space, all totally customisable by keyframes. Fast or slow, close or far camera movements are all achievable

Output can be up to 4K Apple ProRes 4444 at up to 100 frames per second. Our 3D models can also be integrated into Unity and Unreal Engine 5 for depth of field control

With 40 cameras in-house, Timeslice can capture NeRFs and 3DGS in seconds. Models can be sent to a variety of formats, including being implemented directly into After Effects or a web browser

Our custom built and fully portable full body Photogrammetry rig enables "instantaneous data capture", which is highly sought after in digital 3D body form capture of artists and characters for VFX purposes. Unlike traditional 3D scanning, even if the subject were to move slightly, it does not affect the resulting 3D data capture and therefore the construction of the 3D model of that particular character or artist.
